"How could I possibly be expected to handle school on a day like this?"

Night City

The Chicago Blues Festival - a night when it feels like the
entire city is alive with music and colour.

Bad Cop - kids are busking outside the festival, boys drumming simultaneously in the most amazing rhythm until the fat cop realises "the people over there seem to be having a good time".

Faces in the Night - the Millennium Park fountains.

Touch & Go - its a chess party!

Da Funky Buddha

Beachy

As you can see efficient lifeguards are extremely necessary in such deep water. Lifeguards in boats are stationed right along the lake at each beach. To their credit it does get cold and deep past those posts, but wouldn't a shark net do? Oh - no sharks. Maybe American's cant swim like us amphibious Australians.

People have been asking to see where we live. So here it is - the second set of big windows above the orange awning (next to the scaffolding).

Biking About Chicago

Summer is here! No lovely spring time to prepare us at all - just bang into the mid 80's & 90's. We have been braving the heat and hitting the Chicago summerlands on our bikes.

Note the random in the background ... this guy has been hanging out for the sun.

Don't ask me I just work here...
A palette of bottled water going to wash the sand off American's toes.

We visited the Tin Man ...

... and the Scarecrow. Dorothy and the Lion must have been off hiding in the bushes.

Getting a taste of Sunday Chicago Gospel Music in the cool amphitheatre of Millennium Park.

Yum.
